The house back door !

Over a period of time it has become more difficult to lock the lock on UPVC door.
When you shut the door and lifted the handle it started to catch and I had to hold handle up tight to turn the key.
This is a Lockmaster 3 hook -2 roller thing with a expensive lock. It has done well over the 14 yrs it's been in.
So started checking -see if all screws were tight -Lubricated lock and hooks etc but no joy.
If I open door then activated lock it was as smooth as silk and locked flawless with the key. Shut the door and hard to lock.
Took off door shut bar on door as well as take lock out -Cleaned -oiled and they are OK - Then did same with the door shut bar on the frame -cleaned -oiled and all smooth.
Onto Yoiutube and checked more videos and it said twisted door. so got levels out and frame is still verticle and so is the door.
My theory now is the door and frame needs realining I started to read up and thought it's expert time and backhanders - Oh I mean payouts.
Not being able to see very well at close quarters doesn't help.
So has anyone got any easy fix idea's
I have sailed along nicely for the last few years but this year someone has kicked the stool from under me - If it's not one thing it's another.

I have problems trying to lift the handle for the cams to engage in hot weather. My door is South Facing so its likely caused by expansion in very hot weather as it works fine again when it cools down..... Is it only in recent hot weather it has started?

sounds like the door has dropped a little
needs the glass /panel removing and packing or adjusting the packers already there
should be plenty of guides on YT :)

Oh dear.
My door is also south facing - I have had it all apart now so probably upset the settings so it's get someone in time - Why can't I just leave things alone and live with it.
Odd thing is the porch door is ok and they are almost side by side.

Just been looking at some youtube vids about upvc lock issues. As it happens one went on to discuss about adjusting the cams/rollers by inserting a allen key in them and turning 1/4 of a turn or whatever one way or another. the vid I saw said this can sometimes help if the door has settled a bit over time.

took a while but I found it again.

from about 3 mins or so in the vid, is where he describes it.

Hope it helps
