i'm right at the low end though. just got myself an

agp gecube x800gto 128mb ddr1 card :p

it's working fine, tested a few games and no problems at all. but a couple of things...

1) no temperature monitoring in the ccc. surely it should do this? using cat6.3s everest/ati tool/etc detect temps fine.
2) the card has a molex connector but works fine without the molex plugged in. but the problem is this - ati tool will happily scan for artifacts when the molex is unplugged. but it will resest the pc almost immediately if i have it plugged in. (of course i power off before connecting the cable.... ;))

any ideas? not that i'm really bothered about clocking it as it fine at stock speeds for the games i play..... :)

it was still running full speed without the molex.... :)

anyhow it seems to have sorted itself out now. ati tool does not crash with the molex plugged in anymore. just a shame it only clocks upto 420mhz on the core from the default 400.... :( still it was enough to take me over 10k in 3dmark03 from the stock score of 9600. :p

and i've ditched the CCC too in favour of the old CP. still no overdrive tab/temp monitoring though. nevermind. :D

been playing gta:sa and the image quality is soooo much better than my old 6800gt that i had last year. very happy with this budget card....
