Hi guys. I've just got my computer back up and running after just having it sitting here for many many months. Before I stopped using it, I had it overclocked to about 3.1Ghz, but set everything back to stock because I was going to sell it to someone and they didn't want it overclocked.

Anyway, problem is I have forgotten most that I knew about overclocking. Now I have just fitted a better cooler (arctic freezer 7 pro) with "The Chill Factor" thermal paste. I was planning to re-overclock to something like 3.4Ghz which I think would be a reasonable OC to get from my pc.

Specs are:

Q9550
Corsair 2x2GB DDR2 8500C5C (I bought it as PC2-8500, but CPU-Z seems to think its a PC2-6400)
Mobo is an Asus P5Q SE2
GPU is Geforce 260 GTX

Okay so at the moment all I've done is set the memory voltage manually to 2.1v as it should be, and set cpu voltage to 1.2750v, changed the NB voltage to 1.2v and changed the fsb to 375 which is literally all my last overclock was. This is giving me 3189Mhz at the moment.

Problem is now, I can't remember what I did to get my memory back up to speed. It's changed to a 1:1 ratio and its only running 375Mhz instead of the 400mhz it was before the OC, or the 533 it should technically be seemsing its PC2-8500.

Edit: Realised I was using the wrong Prime95. Running it now across all 4 cores. Temps are now in the mid to high 40s under stress.

Edit2: Worker 4 had a fatal error and stops working. Note: I am doing In-Place Large FFTs

Edit3: Running back at 367 for now as it is stable there. Would still like to go higher though but not sure where to look. Still need to find how to change the memory back to the speeds it should be.

So where should I go from here to get to 3.4Ghz? just keep raising the fsb and the voltage? just the fsb?

Hope this wasn't too long and someone could help me here. I kinda made 3 threads into 1 to not be so spammy. Cheers :)
