Anyone being watching it? Wednesday night's Ch4 10pm.

I'm enjoying it, and was a massive Peep Show fan. Or are you all a bit jaded now. If you were a Peep Show fan to start with.

yep ... so jaded the thread from a month ago has died ! (like the eelctric dreams one, too)

I would prefer to watch Peep show reruns

The interaction between Mitchell & Webb is not bad, but still dislike that they made it just another situation comedy with other members of the cast trying to be funny.

They also plagiarized the situation with the caravan in the folk festival from Peep show - they must think we have short memories.

I have higher hopes for the new Jack Dee series 'Bad Move' if he can re-capture lead balloon.

Can't get over Peep Show finishing, eh. There's a lot like that. Can't cope with change. Hopefully your not one of those who moaned about Peep Show after the first couple of series, anyway.

I too was put off by the new characters, being new. But I started to get used to them by the third episode. If it's makes it easier it is best to think of the new one as being Peep Show goes to the countryside.

Not quite sure what your odd complaint is re: the highlighted bits of your post.

I'm surprised you have high hopes for Bad Move, as it's been on for a number of weeks now. Thought you would have decided what you thought of it well before now.

complaints
- I meant the other people were playing it straight in peep show - no ?
- 'They' stole a plot from peep show

you are right, was going to update post - watched the trailer and - its rubbish - none of the drole, mid-life-crisis topic, that made lead balloon so good.

waiting for the reviews (even Oc'ers) is a good enough strategy to decide, a posteriori, what to watch, just need the GB of spare space to speculativley record stuff.

They just seem most odd criticisms. I'm going with the :jaded can't handle change, view. I take it you have only seen one episode. It's the last one tonight when all is revealed. Or is it.

The viewing figures were not as good as Peep show avg 0.7m versus 1.3m but I don't know what the criteria is to renew a series.
I probably did it a disservice, but it was relegated to watching show w/subtitles and listening to music.

Need to have a thread on current good british comedies - what have we had since Little Britain, say; I suppose the windsors wasn't bad.
edit : maybe the new red dwarf is good
edit2 : maybe the Apprentice should be included

Ch4 could have the second coming of Christ Live and it wouldn't top two million. Most people are very badly informed as to what's on and just leave it on their favourite channel - which usually isn't Ch4.

I can only see two TV critics' reviews on the series and they both rate it highly. The Telegraph and this one by a woman on The Guardian where she describes it as a Sit-Com-Thriller:

zombie thread - needs a silver bullet

Junk - 2nd series of Back .... and Blackwell wrote some of thick of it and Peep show
just a horrible situation comedy, Webb & Mitchel are just jaded characters without any of the endearing/naive traits of their younger selves.
Maybe you just couldn't make a comedy like peep/thick, ...men behavimg badly, any more as it wouldn't be PC/#metoo compatible.

edit: lots of swearing .. is that meant to make up for the quality.
