Hi Guys,
I've been a big gym person for the last 4-5 years needless to say I got into really good shape, bulked up a lot and had minimal body fat.
Anyway to cut a long story short for medical reasons i've been out of the gym for 3 months and i've lost a fair bit of size and my muscle is no where near as firm and shaped as it used to be. Now I don't expect to go straight back in and carry on where I left off from but i've heard the term muscle memory mentioned a few times and was wondering how difficult it's going to be getting back to my former self? During this time my diet has really gone out of the window so getting back into some kind of routine is going to be difficult!
When i go back today i'm going to start really light and take it from there. Would you reccomend getting back into it slowly say once or twice a week or hit the ground running? Just wondering if you guys have any tips, i'm actually gutted that a good few years of work can be lost so easily
