Hey guys,

I'm looking at getting back into this.

I have a AMD FX-8320 and I'm also looking for some GPUs as well. Questions that I have is:

1. What PPD can I expect from the AMD FX-8320?
2. What are the best GPUs for folding?

i say just set it up and see, don't know what cooler you are using but even a £20 cooler will allow you to get get a decent amount of extra performance

evga gtx 460 on offer if you can scan around or some gtx 470's

after more google searching, mainly ocn forum i found a few different ones

My FX-8320 at 4.6GHz gets about 25K-35K PPD

another saying he gets around 22k ppd

thats more than my 3570k gets overclocked!!!!!

I do have that now... I might run that and the new dedicated folder all at once

I've got 4, they will be avail either with watercooling blocks or I can put the original fan coolers back on. I'll hopefully strip the system down on the weekend.
