Backing up a hard drive without raid?

I'm going to be getting a Mac Mini soon, and was wondering if there was any software to automatically backup a hard drive to another hard drive, I'm going to be using two HD103SJ's on an external enclosure.

I would not like to use RAID because there can always be complications, and don't really trust the whole idea, and just prefer the simplicity of using software.

Time Machine is all you need, Built into the OS.

I use Time Machine for local backup and an app called Arq to encrypt and backup important files to Amazon S3. This way if I lost both my MBP and the backup drive I could still recover all my important data.

But then if I use time machine the hard drives have to be formatted into HFS+, and they are NTFS.

Macs can't write to NTFS partitions, So your best bet would be to partition the hard drive a little and give Time Machine some space to play with.

Don't understand why I would partition the hard drive, the hard drives aren't going to be used to backup the Mac Mini, but to back up the files on a different hard drive to another hard drive that is the same model.

Sorry, completely misunderstood. Basically, you have two external drives and want them mirrored?

Yes, as all my important files are going to be put one of those, and the External Enclosure I will be getting does not have raid, so what's my best option?

I use carbon copy cloner to clone one drive on my AEBS to another also plugged into it once a week. Works lovely.

Thanks, I guess I will have to format my hard drives, anytime I need to use it on Windows Machine I'll just use MacDrive.

I have one more question about Mac Mini, you reckon it will be able to play Dota 2 or HoN smoothly?
