I'm planning to do a clean install of snow leopard. That's fine on the mac front, as I have time machine running, but is there any way I can back up my boot camp partition and restore it easily afterwards? Google suggests winclone. Does anyone have any experience with that program?

You don't have to back up your Boot Camp partition if you're doing a clean install of either Leopard or Snow Leopard since the installer can leave it intact. However, if you still need to back it up, look above
