Backing up EA Store downloaded games?

I recently managed to get Dead Space, Mirrors Edge and Mercs 2 for the low price of free due to a glitch on the EA Store. Normally I would stick with Steam, as backing up games on it is far superior (and no DRM).

I was wondering how I would go about backing up the games I have got from the EA store, there is no option I have seen or any instructions on how to, and I really need to re-format soon.

Written for RA3:Uprising but I suspect the basic jist applies for any game.

I was really hoping to be just able to copy/paste a folder onto my Ipod harddrive and paste it over on the new install?

Or is that the only way

That's basically what it says anyway, except you'd be using your iPod instead of a DVD.

As long as you copy the relevant files and are able to dump them back in the correct place you should be fine as far as I can see.

As long as it's only a case of copy and pasting the game folders to an external hard drive I will set about backing up the 5 games I bagged over the weekend.

Can't go wrong for a tenner
