Backing up FF and Chrome.

Planning on doing finishing my build this weekend and looking to back up the bookmarks and password in Firefox and Chrome.
How do I go about doing this?

Some old guides being dragged up in googl suggest it's a matter of copying a folder. Is this still the case?

Yes. You might want to take advantage of Chrome's sync facility if you have a Google account.
