going to go see an apple genius tomorrow about dust under my screen, wasnt bothered by the odd spec but theres about 10 now so its distracting, was told on here they just replace the phone no problems, so.

how do i back up everything so i can stick it on a new one if they replace it so everything is on the new phone?

do i have to redownload all my apps?

If iTunes doesnt back up your phone when you connect, right click on it in the device list in iTunes and choose back up.

When you connect your new phone, it will ask if you want to restore from back up, say 'yes' and bob is your uncle. Job done.

As far as i know yes, its all I did when I upgraded from 3g to 3gs, didnt notice anything missing. Its all i'll be doing on thursday too.

ok thx for the info, going in to trafford center today so going to call in and just ask a sales person about it then if they say it can be replace or what ever then i will book an appointment there.

got back from my appointment an hour ago, they said they would replace the screen but looked at he dock and saw a tiny crack about 2 mm long. he said it will get bigger do you want a new one so i said yes please :)

anyway ive just finished restoring which took about 45 mins... all my photos and contacts are back but none of my apps are.

looked in the apps tab in itunes but my apps arnt there, how do i get them all back?
