Hi, due to undergo a reformat of pc, has been nearly 2 years :p

Ive done a back up of itunes from the File/Library/backup to disc which took 5 dvd's

Will this include what on my iphone 4 also ? i have this and an ipod classic to make sure both are safe before reformatting

Is there anything else i've missed before i go for it ?

Cheers

Deauthorise the computer to get back one of your iTunes activations. You can then activate it again after reformatting.

you not got a backup drive where you can copy all the "itunes music" folder to? Thats all i do then once reformatted just copy the backed up folder to itunes and happy days :)

Must admit last time i forgot to de-authroise the account i have 4/5 accounts active but yet i only have 1 itunes libarary, is there a way to de-authroise machines that no longer exist?

In iTunes goto your Account (click email address top right) on iTunes store then you can select which to de-authorise

I always forget to de-authorise my previous install and used up all 5 when it came to setting it up last time, had to do it via the account. IIRC you can only do that once a year or something similar
