Backing up iTunes for installing win7?

Last week I got my shiny new copy of windows 7, and I'm planning on installing it tonight. During that process I'll have to reinstall iTunes, and as I've only been using it for a couple of months I've got a few questions about it.

I know I can import all my music again, but is there a way to backup the data (ie apps from iPhone) I have on there?

Will I have to reset my iPhone because I've reinstalled iTunes or will it recognise it being the same copy once I put my account details again?

Sorry if they are basic questions, but thanks in advance for the help.

PK!

You shouldn't have to reset your iphone, i didn't have to reset my ipod touch. Just backup your itunes directory and put it back in the same place once you've reinstalled itunes. Just remember to deauthorize your computer before you install 7.
