Hi, Could someone please give me some advice regarding backing up my mobile phone.
LG G5 (I don't want to upgrade because this phone has a removeable battery).
Currently I have it set up to backup to My Drive. My Drive (I don't really understand that either) says that it allows me 15Gb of storage which includes emails withing G Mail.
Every so often I discover that my My Drive is nearing copacity. I then access the drive on my PC and clear everything out. I notice that each day's backup of the LG G5 is taking up 2.5Gb of space. If I'm correct it isn't doing incremental or differential backups just creating a new one. It doesn't seem to save just "x" number of backups.
I know I can connect my phone to my PC and copy files and folders using Windows Explorer.
The things I'd be really worried about loosing are Contacts and Whatsapp messages.
I don't really want to pay for extra storage because as I see it if backups are 2.5Gb and one isn't removed as another is created I will still have the same problem later on.
I don't mind spending some time behind my PC doing backups.
Does anyone know of some reliable and easy to use software which would allow me to backup from phone to PC, either free or one time purchase?
PS: I rarely use the GMail but I might do so in the future especially as my Virginmedia Contract ends in November and from what I've read they will increase my monthly bill from £32.40 to over £50.00 - they seem reluctant to pickup the phone!
Thanks in advance.
