Backing Up to DVDs

I am currently backing up a hard disk of projects split onto DVDs. At the moment I am sorting them to bundles of 4.37 gb. A few folders are bigger than a DVD so I have to split them. Is there any software (freeware) which will help me do this?

You could use Split RAR Archives?

Sorry I forgot to mention, I don't want them as zipped RARs.
