Backlight bleed fades over time?

Hi there,

I'm in the process of deciding whether or not to return my TFT. The backlight bleed is pretty bad, an inch at the sides of the screen. I've been told that backlight bleed sometimes takes a week or two to calm down, is that right?

think it depends on the monitor mate... I have it pretty bad in one corner of my Dell 2005, its never gotten better, but some on here who have the NEC one (I think) have had it improve over time..
think it depends on the manufacturer
