Backlight gone ? Video included

Hi,

Just wondering what's wrong with this laptop screen... I took the back off so I could reseat the cable going into the screen. It was doing exactly this before I took the screen apart.

As you can see the monitor stays on throughout.... back light then?

I would say it has a break in the lcd cable, if you keep the screen still and prod the cable where it goes round the hinge does it flicker also?
