OK my PS3 drive has died so I have a new one arriving tomorrow but I need to get my data off the HD. The missus has a 1GB memory stick so I was going to move all my photos & music onto it, but is there a way of getting games/demo's onto the stick?

If not I suppose I'll just have to download them again but I'd rather not if possible.

You can do a full backup but you will need more than 1GB if poss get hold of an external USB drive ( Fat 32) and do it that way. If not remove all demos and then try it, re DL stuff later. All the user settings are saved on flash in the PS3.

Theres a backup hard drive option in the system options which (i assume) would back up any games you have downloaded and all your saves etc. But you'd really need an external usb hard disc to do this as it will back up the entire hard disc and you can't just specify specific files.

Theres no way as far as I'm aware to manually copy games you've downloaded to a memory stick. It'll be a case of downloading things again if you can't do the above.

forget the games and demo's, just download them again, it is annoying but at least the settings are saved and possibly save the savegames to USB
