Ok i got all my bits (apart from gfc card no 4870X2 out yet) and about to put it all together but got a quick question. Is it ok till i have confirmed everything works to leave the pad on the backplate of the tuniq tower and when i have made sure everything works then take off the sticker and fix it into place ??.

yes should be ok, for testing posting and installation off windows, also you could put the ref heatsink on instead, if you wish then replace with the tuniq tower later, ps when taken the the sticker off later for fixing get it aligned, I used the supplied screws for that purpose, just double check your work and all shoud be A ok.

The pad on the backplate usually tears off upon removal, rendering it unsticky, but you can always wrap some insulation tape around it and still use it if you ever had to take it off.

Back when I had a GA-965P motherboard the pins underneath the CPU socket made contact with the TT120 plate, causing a short, so I had to take it off and wrap it in tape for that.
