OK so I have a build log going on over here http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18423195

I have the Asus P8Z77 m-ITX board and a XSPC Raystorm block for the cpu, it doesn't feel like it is sitting right, it is resting right on a couple of things on the back of the board. I have taken a pic as close as I can but will this cause me problems? If so can you suggest a different block that will be ok?

Ok, so I have put that back now, (this is my first Intel cpu, AMD you just remove everything)

I dont think this block is compatible with the mobo, it wont sit right even now. I have taken the best pic I can, you can see it is sitting flush on the black part of the board but where it attaches to the water block itself it is not right. When the block is on and getting tightened all the pressure will be on the black thing.

Ok mate one last picture.

The circle on the left you can see the back plate resting right on whatever that black thing is. I know the pic focus is off but I cant get it to focus that close up.

In the right circle you can see that where the block that goes on the other side of the board would fix on to the back plate it is not flush, so it can rock side to side because it is resting on the black thing. Now when it comes to attaching the four corners on the top this means all the pressure is going on the black thing which I am sure it is not supposed to be on at all.

Sorry for the bloody stupid description and not knowing what the "black thing" is.

ps. I dont think this back plate will ever be photographed as much as this even by XSPC lol.

I think I have this solved, lots of googling has lead me to EK's own website where they do a plate that looks perfect. Will see in the next few days how that gets on.
