Backplate sticky sticker thingy

Hey guys...

I'm changing my motherboard again tomorrow and want to use my Tuniq Tower on the new board but the sticky sticker thingy on the backplate is no longer sticky...

So I need to replace it... where can I get some?

you dont need to worry about replacing it mate,

Its there mainly to stop it shorting on the mobo.

As long as there is enough "material" for want of a better word on the plate still. im guessing its one you bolt onto the mobo or screw into. Ie a stiffening plate.

It will be fine.

I dont stick mine to my mobo's i leave the protective cover over the sticky part. Can be a pain to remove when changing mobo and ruins re-sale value of old kit.

Well then you need to find other material to substitute for the sticky foam.

Just a thought though, you should have got backplate for socket 478 as well with your tuniq tower so you can perhaps cut it off the 478 backplate and stick it on your 775 backplate?

Already used that one up hehe

is there anything else i can use or where i can buy some?

I used gaffer tape myself. About 5-6 bits on top of each other.
