Backspace on Keyboard not working Initially?

Have noticed in the last few weeks that for the first 10 minutes or so of being logged into Windows 8 that the backspace key on my Saitek Eclipse Keyboard is none responsive but after 10 minutes or so it miraculously starts to responded again!.

Any ideas on why this would happen and how to fix it?

Have you tried that keyboard on another pc?

...and/or a different keyboard on that pc. That'd be the place to start in ruling stuff in or out of the equation.
