Evening all,

At five pm today a hard disk failed in a critical production web server, although still up and running I'm taking provisions to build a replacement server should things go **** up.

The server is running Windows 2000 Server and I've got a backup of the data and the IIS metabase however I still need a method of transferring all the local user accounts (including passwords) from the failed server to its replacement.

Can this be done? If I need to buy a third party tool that's fine but this is a ticking time bomb and I need provisions in place soon!

Any help would be great!

Dan.

make an image of the hard drive using ghost, write the image to a new drive, swap new drive in to the server and you are good to go (providing that it was just the original hard drive that failed)
