OK. I have two WD Green drives (2TB) in raid0 and unfortunately they are gubbed. Either one of them or both of them... I wont know until I split up the array.

However. I have 1.5TB of HD video on them I would love to keep. I'm in a bit of a pickle to say the least.

Anyway of extracting the data? Explorer sees the drive/s however, it crashes when you try to open or do anything with the files.

I was thinking of a live CD of Ubuntu. Perhaps running it off a USB wont cause a system hang and perhaps allow me to copy at least some of the files.

Would spinrite work on a raid array?

Any other ideas I've perhaps missed or overlooked?
