Backup options?

All,

I have a server in a small office running WIN2K3 RC2 SE and have RAID 1 configured between on two 80GB drives.

What backup options do I have? I'm thinking being able to backup externally to DVD or something in case of fire, theft, etc and having two discs in rotation.

Is this even possible to compress data down that small and still be recoverable?

I don't really want tape drives as they seem expensive these days.

Also, the software I'd need has to be cheap and good if not free and good!

Get an external USB2.0 or Firewire drive and use something like MS's Synctoy to keep and constant backup of all files on the external drive.

at the end of each day, take the drive home and bring it back and plug back in again each day.


Thats one option.
