Backup Software

Im looking for backup software that will copy my selected folders/drives to an external drive and will then make incremental backups thereafter.

Ive never really used any backup software at all so hopefully you can recommend me something with a clean interface and smart workings.

I used to use SyncToy but found it left rogue empty folders.

I use SyncBack and like it a lot. Does the job.

Ive never come across robocopy, shortly after posting this thread I found it through google and it seems quite clever. Think im gonna use a combination of batch files and task scheduler?

Heres a question, if you schedule a task for say 9am in the morning and the computer is turned off - is that task then ignored? or will it run when you start the computer?

robocopy

awesome awesome tool

robocopy /e c:\source d:\destination

first time copies everything, 2nd & every time after will only copy new & update files
