Backup solution

I need a tape backup solution for a server
the amount of data isnt too much, but need it capable of upt0 300 gigs,

Which is best or shouuld I not go with tape>

i would suggest a nas box, as you can get wireless versions now which can basically be set up put somewhere quiet and forgotten about.

This has been answered a couple of times recently so search for the full details.

If you need multiple copies and desire some sort of off-site capability, then tape is the only cost-effective solution.
Any other solution offers single copies with no protection against deliberate deletion, accidental deletion, disk failure/corruption or fire.

Other threads have given prices and options. For example, HP for example sell Type 2 LTO/Ultrium drives capable of backing up 173GB per hour and squeezing 400GB on a single tape.
