Currently backing up my desktop directly to Backblaze (personal plan I believe). I've just purchased a Synology NAS so wondered if the best approach would be desktop -> NAS -> Backblaze or just leave the desktop backing up to both directly?

Cheers

Another recommendation for Veeam - it can create a USB bootup disk with the network drivers embedded into it which is really nice.

I now use tape. I nabbed a 16 tape changer (LTO5) a while back, and I can have 16*1.5TB of tape online any time I need. New tapes are £40/5... they take 1.5TB uncompressed but you can put a lot more of them if your content is compressible.

Air-gapped, easy to store. Doesn't rely on the cloud. I even do the odd backups for a couple of friends now.
