Well back again and can’t seem to get this off to a good start,
for some reason I decided on going for a ddr4 board instead of just jumping and going ddr5!
don’t know what proscesed me but I bought a nzxt z690,
Part of the reason is it’s pure white!
but while waiting for it to arrive I done a bit of reading up and see why I shouldn’t of bothered

so now I’m back to square boxes all over the place gpu +pc case sitting in its box and the mrs morning about this also as they do!
(or could just be mine)

now looking for a ddr5 motherboard as I know myself I will kick myself if I just go ahead and build this.
at the worse I could possibly carry over the ddr5 into my next build.

This needs to go with my current build hahaha!

supposed to be pure white

With the recent price cuts, DDR5 is certainly a lot more attractive, but it's really not a big deal. If you desperately want the colour scheme just build it, that's my opinion.

Anyway, some sort of white motherboards: Asus Strix Z790-A, Z790 Aero-G, MSI Z790 Edge and ASRock Z790 Taichi Carrara.

Just been reading bad reviews of the board getting hot, then people saying the 13th gen won’t work, then was reading another post about them being poor with bios updates (beta)

Still looking now and cant seem to find a white board what will go with my build what ain’t a ridiculous price.

I’ve found this

ASrock Z790M-ITX WiFi mITX Motherboard

what could maybe look alright with my 3060ti fe as that’s a sort of silver plus my fans have a silver strip.

only really want to spend around 260/270 max on the board.

due think this is a good shout over the nzxt z690.
only thing I’m a bit worried about is the nzxt is a undercover asrock already but ddr4, from research

Have you actually got and tried the NZXT board?

Is it just you want DDR5 now? ;) (not judging, it is your chioce)

They have released a bios update for 13th gen Intel (7.01) source

Can't speak for this board, but i had a Asrock board when i had a 6700k and it was very good.

Not had a proper look, but most reviews i found seem not that bad.

I am not endorsing this motherboard.

I haven’t even taken it out the box.
somethings put me right off it
I see that post on Reddit that was about the only one I could find about it working,
that and another post with somebody saying that nzxt sent them a bios update via mail to try

Apparently the ITX board has weak VRM phases (7+1+1 50A), but it seems decent for the price.

Take it you are changing your case as well?

What CPU + RAM have you got/thinking of getting?

I’ve got a i5 13600k waiting to drop in it. Case is all sorted aswell.
I Managed to grab another board in the Black Friday and it’s on route now as we speak via ….yodel !!! Wish me luck

Yikes. Good luck. :D

What is the spec you have settled on?
Well they say bad luck comes in three!
Wasn’t thinking and grabbed an asus prime z690-a DDR5
for £229 with free postage,
Which was good only problem is …
as I grabbed it quick in the sale I wasn’t thinking about the bios!
Now I’ve got a board with no way of updating it! (No flashback button) :)

Don’t suppose anyone’s in or around Surrey/London who has a chip or could flash it for me or loan me one ???
Completely run out of ideas now
