For the last 4/5 weeks I've been having major problems with file transfers of all kinds on my pc, transfers to and from usb drives and keys, transfers from hd to hd, transfers across my network, installing some games but not others
and it's been driving me a bit mad, so I made a concerted effort to solve the prob or at least figure out the cause. So I've been running diagnostics, changing drivers, swearing at vista and alsorts, as a last resort I ripped out all my old ide and sata cables and replaced them. The culprit was the flippin ide cable on my dvd drive
.
Why that should cause all other forms of file transfer to be dog slow I do not know, but I've been shunting large files to and from my pc over every connection I've got for the last two days and since the ide cable got chucked all has been well
HOORAH. mind you now the weekend is nearly over and I still haven't had a chance to finish cod 4 or play any hellgate, so that's where I'm off to now, bye.
