i ordered the house special curry as i didn't feel particularly adventurous. anyway, food took nearly 30 minutes to arrive and when it did, what was placed in front of me didn't look like a curry!

it was a large pot with a lid on it. before i could say anything, the waiter walked off. so i'm there, looking at my mates tucking into their meals and i look again at this pot before me.

as i look at it, the lid lifts up and i notice a pair of eyes looking back at me, then the lid drops! i think what the heck?! then it happens again, lid lifts a little and two beady little eyes stare at me.

it happens again and i bring it to my mates attention. he's shocked too. i'm a bit warey of lifting the lid so i call the waiter over.

the waiter arrives and i explain how i don't believe i have the right meal; doesn't look much like a house special curry to me!

the waiter apologises. ''sorry sir! my mistake. i have given you the peking duck by mistake''.
