Hi

I purchased BFBC2 about 1 week ago I have been having problems playing online, during the day I can connect and play find but some times 30-40% of the time the game Disconnects but I m still connected to the internet.

If the evening its near imposable to get on any server between 7-12 ish, I have done some research i've open the ports on my router checked my firewall etc, found few posts of people blaming BT Broadband or the Homebub 2 router?

Does anyone here have BC and BT router have the same problems?

Edit-I have Homehub2 Router

Merry X-mas

Don't know if this is any help but im with O2 and had problems disconnecting every 20 minutes. It was a problem with the router and NAT isssues.

Bought a Netgear DGND3300 and it's been perfect since.

Just saying it could be the router, although im sure a lot of people on BT dont have that problem so it could hopefuly be sorted in the router settings.

Good luck :)

Any Chance you are playing BC2 on pc? does it run fine between 7pm to 11? only time i can't get online with this game starting to think problems with BC2 or BT capping the internet speeds

I have home hub 2, same problems kind of, upnp when on does loose connection to game for sure, have it on for my lads xbox and if i forget and then go play a game i will get a disconnect, go to router and switch off upnp and it works fine, between 7-11pm it is allmost impossible for me to play due to the bad service bt provide, i have had trouble since moving into an area that has no LLU at the exchange, bt wholesale only so I am kinda stuffed, what exchange are you on?

the telephone exchange you are connected to, do you know which one, just to see what broadband options you got there, i only have bt wholesale available to me and its pants.

edit, yeah looks like you get a bad service like me, it's just the way BT are i think

take a look here

theres no love for small villages from broadband providers.

I get all sorts if issues with my homo hub and it's been going on for two years now , lots of broken BT promises.

Will be switching to sky in March so will have to make do until then .

BT home hub is a joke. I just got back from staying with my mum for a week who has bt home hub and port forwarding just would not work.
