Indeed, but it's the UK so they'd get off with it, maybe a slap on the wrists and a don't do it again. No punishment though.
It was was a random act I hope they're found and dealt with in the correct way. (Correct way = multiple kicks/punches to the head)

After reading that thread it looks like it's going to be a write off - the garage quoted the guy 7k to respray it, but then theres also the cost to replace all the plastic trim parts which were melted.

TBH I don't think I'd want it back after.

To go to that much effort it must have been done for a reason. I not saying its right by any means because its pretty far from it. But mindless vandelisum normally consists of key marks, dents from kicking etc. They went out prepared for this one.

Yeah, he was anal about cleaning his car to the point of where it was cleaner than a brand new car.....then somebody helped him out with a full coat of paint stripper
