Hello

I got my new graphics card from overclockers this week but is acting like its faulty. I have attached this picture to show you the problem. Its displaying disorted graphics in all games like this and its gets more intensive the longer i play. Does anyone know how to fix this? My system spects are this

ASUS A7N8X (Nforce 2)
AMD Athlon XP 2100 (1.7GH)
SIlent Boost CPU cooler
Radeon x850 XT 256MB ( ATI Catalyst 6.3)
2 x 512 GB DDR 2700 Dual
Maxtor 40GB ATA/133
Samsung 80GB ATA/133
Pioneer DVD-RW 107D
Windows XP SP2

My CPU temp is always around 35c idle and about 50c when gaming.

If it's happening gradually like you say I would say it's overheating. Whats the air flow like in your case?

Edit: Just remembered, the X850XT's always ran very hot.

My pc case is always open and i have installed new artic cooler for this video card so i don't understand how it can be overheating. I don't know exact temparature but i would say its not more than 40c

You may have b0rked it when fitting the new cooler then or it's not seated correctly on the memory or core. Try refitting it. If it's still the same after start to panic and deny all knowledge when reurning it.

it had same symptoms before i fitted artic cooler on it

Tbh if it was like that when you brought it you should have returned it straight away before fitting the new cooler. The only thing you can do is refit the original cooler and take it back and hope they exchange it. I did it once before with a 6800GT.

is it a rev1 arctic cooler? if so you need to check if its making proper contact with all memory points and the core. this was a major problem of the rev1's.
