Bad Habits from a gaming Keyboard!

So I purchased about a year ago the Steelseries Merc Stealth Keyboard it's not a bad keyboard but the side gaming keys can be useful but there just is not everything there you need especially when playing BF4 and does not feel natural with adjusted key configs so time to find a new keyboard.
What I am looking for is a gaming keyboard mechanical maybe I am not sure on what colour switches but would also like to have single key programmable lights or maybe a different colour WASD keyset layout any ideas would be a great help the price is undecided yet Thank you.

See if you can get down to a shop and try out some different types of mechanical keyboards if at all possible, get an idea of what suits you personally. There's also a good guide stickied at the top of the forum to give you an idea of what each type of mechanical switch is like.

I am particularly fond of my Logitech G710+

The WASD key back lights are separate to the rest of the kb

Ducky Shine series all have programmable LED's which you can store in 2 custom profiles.

I for example have one for playing LOL in the dark and then one with just the alphabet lit up. you just record the lights by pressing the keys to assign LED on or off
