bad memory effects...

hey peeps... you might recall i was having some bad experiences with my overclocking and not getting stability at stupidly acceptable speeds, in the end it seems to have turned out that i had a bad stick of cellshock (which was a shock due to the reputed quality of the sticks...)

anyway, i've gone for some ballistix so we'll see how that goes, but my question is: if you have some bad ram, can this have knock on effect to the clocking abilities of other components? i.e. will my cpu now go a bit higher on maybe less volts and more stability? i thought i maybe had a bad cpu aswell (requiring 1.525V just for 3.4gig) but maybe it was the ram holding it back?

(if i had bad ram and a back cpu overclocker, thats just plain bad luck!)

PLUS i have that cycle-reboot issue so maybe i have a bad mobo too :D:(

yeah so, the questions, is my computer gonna be able to reach it potential now or did the bad mem only really affect itself?
