So this month I've had 2 360 elites die, one RROD and its brand new replacement had the power supply die hours before I was to sell it (luckily got a full refund) however...

I just called up to get my 3rd PS3 replaced. 1st died just before COD4 was released, 2nd died last week and to add insult to injury now my replacement (just delivered this afternoon) has also died during a nice game of Uncharted ...

My fourth PS3 arrives on Friday.. I'm starting to think consoles just aren't for me anymore.

Just for the record 1 PS3 had graphics issues, the other two so far had blu-ray drive failures.

lol - no chance! It's on a huge great big ventilated, fully open to all sides glass shelf. Any more ventilation and it would be outside in the garden ;-)

i would get your house electrics checked or something 3 ps3 failures is pretty much unheard of.

House electrics could affect just my blu-ray drive?? I would have agreed if the thing would have popped completely, but to add insult to injury I can only play crappy Warhawk until the replacement comes (yes it plays that only too well :-(

Yeah I know it sounds suss, but really I'm doing nothing wrong at all. Electrical stuff lasts years for me normally. No dust problems as the room is off limits for the kids, no over heating issues, great ventilation and the TV and console + sky box are all on a surge protector.

Just been unlucky I think.

PS: It's just the three PS3' so far - assuming the next one actually works.
