Bad News for EU PS3's

Just read this on the news wire:

EU PS3 Will Pay Less PS1 & PS2 Titles

Has anyone heard any updates for F@H on PS3 ? I have mine sitting Idle most of the time.

I must say, I would not recommend it over the XBOX 360, and certainly would not rate either of them over a top end Game Box, the graphics and AI simply isn't up to the task.

I would say however, after a long day at work, Gears of War is a good stress relief !! :D Just make sure you keep blasting the wrechers !!! Peski little buggers they are.

It turns out that despite charging us a whopping great price premium Sony is actually cutting costs on the internals of our PS3s. Whereas consoles shipping to the rest of the world have a dedicated chip to handle backwards compatibility the European PS3s will scrap it in favour of weaker software emulation.

Sounds like another case of rip-off Britain, we're used to getting less for more - it's the way it is in the UK :o

Anyway back on topic (for here anyway) the latest estimate being tossed around is "over a month" so that's still a bit open really - apparently it's very similar to how the GPU client works so I dare say the delay is still coming from Sony's side with STanford unable to comment too much on anything due to NDA's :rolleyes:
 
Let's keep this on F@H topic please. There's undoubtedly a thread in console games about the gaming side. Suffice to say though that I don't be getting a PS3.

I figure if I tryed hard I could make a core2 rig for the same price.

Personally I would dearly love to see the FAH on the 360 it would be so easy to distribute a client via xbox live and thousands of people already have them :(

Plus I could run it inbetween me and my mates Co-Op Gears of War killing sprees, damn those luminite wretches! Your correct it is fantastic stress relief :D
