This is pretty bad news as Christian Svensson of Capcom USA was the main reason Capcom bothered porting any games to PC 2005-2013  Capcom Japan do not think favourably of PC gaming at all Christian had to fight many battles to bring us Dead Rising2+OTR/Street Fighter/Devil May Cry/ Lost Planet/Resident Evil. If you were a regular on their Capcom Unity forums over that period you would not believe how little Capcom Japan thought of PC gaming :( to them its little more than an afterthought

I think in the near future we will see a lot less PC gaming output from Capcom as they had unrealistic expectations of how many copies they should have sold on PC versus how few they did sell

Its obvious Capcom is going to an outsource everything publishing model sooner or later to contain costs :(

I do not think the PC will get much love if any going forward somehow as Sven was the only reason Capcom Japan released anything on PC as its a dead gaming platform in Japan so does not exist in their dojo

Costs and lazy workers, if a gaming can be rushed to get onto consoles and people will buy them they will keep doing it,

As for pc gamers want great graphics, sound, less bug fixes, ect this is the problem right there just like EA they want to pay less to make games but want big income at the end and they think due to working harder on pc games than console games they will not make much profit.

Company's need to understand pc gaming has gone up as consoles are just a waste of money with all the problems they have.

Does that mean SSF4 AE is the last street fighter game on PC? :(

I think we should be very grateful we even got it, for many years fighting games were a massive barren wasteland on PC.

If you look at that list of games in the OP hand on heart how many of those could we say were a massive success on the PC? I don't have sales figures but I don't really remember them topping the sales charts for any length of time, so it wouldn't be surprising if Capcom pulled the plug.

Damn that sucks. Hope somit can be done tho like we get a new guy in that is as good as the previous guy was at pushing for pc ports.

Christian had to fight many battles to bring us....

...and the fact that he had to fight shows in the quality of bringing it to the PC.
Played a few of those titles and it shows. Not blaming him of course, but how those in charge and that had a say ruined it.

So presumably no Lost Planet 3, Dead Rising 3. Oh dear.
Lost Planet 3 is coming in August on PC but I do not think many will want the game it looks like a terrible low budget title which Capcom Japan outsourced to the lowest possible bidder judging by their track record :(

In Japan the PC is not considered a serious gaming platform  which shows you how out of touch they are!

Wont affect me, haven't played a Capcom game since resident evil 3 and there quality has been going down hill since then.

Shame to see anyone lose there job, especially a pc enthusiast.

Very sad to hear about this. Sven is a very nice guy and engaged with the community. He answered a few of my questions in the past.

Seems I guess we will not be getting resident evil 1-3 redone and released on steam any time soon.

Capcom lately been going downhill, maybe it is a good thing Sven moves to a company that will appreciate his work.
