A guy on Evo Web im afraid not linking because it contains swearing he managed to get hold of retail version. Well I dont beleive it Konami have only left out transfer of players on 360 version absolutely shocking what we suppose to do in January transfer window now.

You also can not edit team names totally shocking from Konami why release a game with half hearted attempt appauling. Im sorry but to release it with missing features they are as shocking as EA (and its partners) for money grabbing imo.

Looks like ill stick with PS2 version aswell because it contains all features i dont know why Konami could just not delay the 360 version. Your going up agaisnt Fifa 07 on 360 Konami why miss out the important feature of the game does not make sense.

So this means no option files will be possible hurts me to say it but thats what it looks like. Is this because Seabass (maker of PES etc) love his PS fans so much he shafted 360 users or is this generally no time to add you decide.

Im really miffed but thought id tell you guys this is what to expect im quite dissaponted any way this is what guy had to say. :(

I've been lucky enough to get hold of a retail copy of the game for the weekend and have been playing it a bit so here are some random impressions.

Overall I do like the game, some of my comments may give you the impression I don't...

I only have WE10 to compare against as I've yet to play the PS2 version of PES 6.

The gameplay overall I'd have to describe as heavy. By that I mean the ball seems to be a bit too slow, the players have clunky first touches most of the time. There seems to be a delay between the player receiving the ball and them doing what you want. This was occasionally a problem in WE10 but maybe it's exacerbated in this game by the overall speed of play.

Other musings:

GOOD
Widescreen - Wide camera, widescreen, loveliness.

Graphics - While not what you might call "true" nextgen there is a nice sharpness to the graphics - especially in HD - without HD you do notice the improvement in pitch textures and the crowd is better than PS2 but still a bit rubbish.

Transfers seem pretty up to date - Ashley Cole is at Chelsea or London FC for example.

BAD
Slowdown - I play with the wide camera and there is some very occasional slowdown with loads of players on the pitch and at freekicks/corners. It doesn't bother me much except for the fact that this is meant to be nextgen and doesn't really look it.

Stuff cut out of the 360 version:

8 stadiums - not a biggie for me as it's the pitch I'm looking at.

Edit mode - Only edit player is left, there are no transfers and you can't even change the player's shirt name - it is not the same as the name seen in the rest of the game. Club names etc. can not be edited.

No international challenge mode - not sure if this is in the PS2 version or not but WE10 has it.

TBH I never transferred players or edited teams or players, its all about the gameplay baby.

Ye but a lot of people have ive had PES games since number 1 on PS2 if you follow football a lot you expect to be able to transfer players.

Especially in January and your teams are looking very dated when playing and you cant get the new players for your club.

Also option files wont be possible because you cant edit anything because Konami been lazy they could have delayed the game so we get everything.

Sorry but Konami have been lazy if PS2 get full features you expect 360 also.

I'm sure some people will make a big deal out of it, personally I couldnt care less about the real players/shirts etc. If I did, I would be buying FIFA, which I'm not.

If you have time to sit there and edit everything, good luck to you :p

This guy absolutely sure it was a retail version??! Are you expected to pay 40 odd quid for that half finsihed rubbish? PS2 for me then still, and not just for the controller.

Ye but it wasnt all about doing it yourself if you know the right places you can get kits etc.

I wont be buying Fifa either but come on you would rather have it all playing looking good i find it bizarre that Konami done this.

I know all about gameplay but editing is a big part of the game imo.

I didnt bother with edited save games on previous gens either (PS2/Xbox/PC).

Edit - tell a lie, I bought one of those update CD things for PES3 or 4, but only because it was free with the game.

Fifa 07 > Pretty, Real names etc.

PES 06 > Gameplay

I've manged to play them from ISS 98 on the N64 with stupid names, I can manage to play them now and enjoy them as much.

Fair points but we know its about gameplay but its just excuse for Konami being lazy.

My point is if current gen gets all features why not 360.

The game looks so much more nice with proper kits etc im sorry other may not agree but a lot of people wont be happy with this.

I think what Bingham is trying to say is regardless of whether or not you personally used the feature in pervious games its a bit strange for a company to remove something from a sequel, especially if it is avalible on other versions of the game and that people did use it before.

sigh, no ******* transfer system? You can go on about gameplay all you want but when you play career mode or whatever it isn't fun having the same set of players to choose from all the time

Not strange, EA do it all the time :D

Surely there are transfers once a season starts? Master League would be pretty pointless otherwise wouldnt it? (unless thats changed/gone too)

Is it possible, just possible konami done this so as to not totally shoot themselves in the foot with sony??
They obviously wanted a next gen version of the game out, but maybe didnt wanna p off Sony and the Sony fanbase and this was the only way they could really do it??

Could be worse they could have a league with only 1 team in it al la Fifa :D

ah well, i never ever play it offline so i don't give a monkeys about not being able to transfer players. bring it on :D

Swear, if theres slowdown in a flippin football game of all things I'll throw a wobbly. Getting tired of these poorly coded titles we're seeing. I can only recall a handful of titles that have performed superbly on the 360.

Today from out of no where I ended up with stutter in TDU, something that hasn't happened to me before. Not what I wanted to see on the closing stages of Tour of the Island :/

My TDU has stuttered since day one. Mainly when going through built up areas.

I agree with you though, with the power at the developers disposal you'd think they would be able to erradicate any slowdown!
