i keep getting this BSOD and struggling to fix it. So far I see it’s only when I’m playing rise of the tomb raider I get an error saying not enough memory to play at selected settings (high) then the bad pool caller BSOD.
I’ve done a ram check and that’s all fine and current going through my device manager one by one checking for updates, is there anything else I can try? Also Is there any trusted driver updated software I can use instead of doing this one by one. Lots find updates then ask for money to actually update.

I’m running a i7-7700HQ and 1070. So high setting should be fine with all the extras Unticked as well. Nvidia experience has me a mix of very high and ultra with most extras ticked.

Have you used any SSD optimisation software including the stuff bundled with the drive? or disabled page file? could be overclocking or a failing CPU or could be a faulty data cable or something like that as well.

Screenshot of resmon (can get to it from the performance bit of task manager) on the memory tab could be useful as well.

No optimisation, not sure what disabling page file is so don’t think I would have done that, I do use dragon centre for gaming. For msi does game mode count as overclocking? Only had this laptop for around 6 months so hope it’s not failing. But just played a couple hours of f12018 to check and didn’t get the BSOD at all

Sorry for the crap photo is that where you mean, just done it on my phone for speed.
So far my touchpad, audio and firmware have needed updated

CPU is at 100% because I had the dragon centre app open seems to put it into “sport mode” as default changed back to comfort and my cpu is back down to 10%

I’ve updated everything even a windows update was needed started playing again and thought it was fine, only got an hour then it came back again:confused: tomb raider I’d the only game could it be the game?

I was actually meaning the bit where it says "open resource monitor" at the bottom left - but that screenshot tends to confirm there isn't anything funny going on with hardware reserved memory, etc. which can sometimes cause issues like this.

Dunno if it is in any way related but Gamers Nexus found that certain monitors would cause various BSODs with Tomb Raider and Turing cards - don't know if that affects Pascal cards in any way or what exact setup OP is using.

Yeah it still happened, also happened when the wife went to turn on crash bandicoot, no graphics limit warning just straight to bad pool caller BSOD. Think I’m away to go uninstall dragon centre had a couple programs with it before, soons I plug in my charger it puts my laptop into high power settings, making the cpu jump to 100%.
Try that then probably just have to refresh my pc back to the start but that’ll be weeks of downloading all my games off steam again:o
