As the title says, about half an hour ago my PC (from overclockers) made a brief loud-ish crackling/popping noise, and then about 10 mins later i got a bsod saying 'BAD POOL HEADER' do any of you guys know what this could mean? Also if it means anything, now when i turn my computer back on the keyboard lights up but none of the keys work. Oh and the sound was from the actual PC tower, not the speakers. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Could possibly be a blown USB header. I would'nt have switched it on though. First thing i would have done was unplug from the socket and look inside for any obvious signs of burning/failures.

Would a blown usb header cause it to bsod again 10 mins after restarting? And i did check for any burning smells or obvious visual burning but saw nothing

Or would the fact that i plug my xbox controller into the usb on my keyboard have anythingto do with it? I was playing assassins creed using my gamepad at the time of the cracking noise

Just as I read your post it did it again, I have no idea what to do and i can never manage to take a picture of the information it shows me because it flashes too fast

Managed to get a picture of it this time.
Also my PSU is facing downwards at the bottom of my Zalman Z9 Plus case, it does have shafts under the psu fan but they are only small, could that be a cause?

Just ran memory diagnostics tool and it came up with nothing, i'll enable boot logging and see what the last file to open before crashing is

No I can't find a ! next to anything, or do you mean yellow triangles with a ! Inside? Because i have 4 of them under 'other devices' but im pretty sure they have been there since i bought the pc

what ya got plugged into the USB headers? USB ports should have the drivers picked up straight away, the ethernet controller will be the onboard LAN or internet connection to most people.

By headers do you mean ports? Sorry im not very good with all the different names of computer parts haha, if so I just have my mouse, keyboard and phone. Thanks a lot for taking the time to help me btw

Yes please does seem strange that the usb and lan ports drivers aren't installed but error 29 id quite common not seen much of it since windows xp tho.
