Bad PSU?

Right, not having much luck with my new build...first a bad Mobo now a possibly bad PSU.

I have a Thermaltake Toughpower 850W PSU, it doesn't seem capable of powering both of my HD-2900 pro GFX cards at the same time. Ran speedfan and it says my voltages are...

VCore 1 : 1.30V
VCore 2 : 1.89V
+3.3 : 3.31V
+5 : 5.08V
+12 : 3.97V
-12 : -16.64V (this looks high!!!)
-5 : -8.58V
+5 : 5.13V
vbat : 3.07V

So, bad PSU or are there things I can do to improve this?

:(

For reference...My PC spec is...

Gigabyte GA-x38-DQ6
Intel Core2 Q6600 G0
2xHD-2900-Pro 1024MB
Thermaltake Toughpower 850W PSU
320GB Seagate HDD
Samsung DVD-RW
6x120mm Sharkoon Silent Eagle 2000RPM Fans
2x90mm Silverstone Fans

Thanks for any help guys :)

My history with testing electricals leads me away from that path...but if I must I must. Guess it's a trip into town tomorrow morning.

Ever come across my problem before? Trying to get crossfire but only 1 gfx card will be recognised, which is always the card in slot 2, no matter what I set the default card to in the bios. :(

Well, PSU looks to be ok...all the voltages are what they should be according to my DVM. Thinking it might be a second faulty mobo...

PCI-E Slot 1 is still only running at 1x...anybody has any fixes for this that would be awesome. Don't want to wait another week and a bit on a new mobo :(

If the reading for the 12V line was correct your system wouldn't even boot and the -12V line isn't used by anything much now as far as I am aware, nor the -5V line apart from some MSI motherboards (for what reason I have no clue, I think they just like to be difficult).

As for your PCI-E problem, have you tried updating the bios? Also does your system behave itself if you only install one graphics card?

I have the latest bios...tried them all actually heheh...

When i have 1 gfx card in pci-e slot 2 it works well get full 16x bandwidth on the slot. If I have it in pci-e slot 1 I only get 1x bandwidth instead of 16x on it...

Thinking it's another duff board :(
