Have some issues with my pc, had several blue screens, lots of freezing, and screen artifacts (full screen constant, sometimes goes when on another window/program).
tries rimming the windows ram checker and it froze at about 14%. Also tried mem 86, all I got was numbers going down left of screen

how much vtt in the bios are you using?

how many ram sticks? 2x 2gb or one single 4gb stick? if two sticks try with just one at a time just to see if one is faulty ect

and it freezes at stock in memtest86?

just set the dram voltage according to the ram,you might need bit more vtt(memory controller) voltage even at stock

but there should be 0 errors in memtest

Wouldn't boot with one of the ram sticks
Or the other one, red light is on near ram and I've tried reseting it with the button too

seems like you have a faulty stick, now test the faulty stick in the other slots, and repeat the test with the good working stick

just to rule out faulty ram slot

pretty sure it should boot from any slot with just one ram stick

try the colour coded ones second slot and fourth slot from cpu socket to front of case (test each of those one at a time)

try a quarter turn undone on each mounting screw for the d14 cpu cooler

too tight a cooler can cause memory trouble

Got it working again, not sure how. Took the mb off and loosened it like you said, out it all back together and it didn't work, then tried the other two slots, still nothing so I tried just one and it worked, so tried the other and it worked, tried them both together and it worked. Ran mem 86 and it passed. So its fixed I hope, will have to wait and see
