I'm just switching out my 7700k build for a 2700x build, I've been looking into the ram and I currently have Corsair CMK16GX4M2B3200C16 Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4 3200 MHz C16 and according to some of my friends this ram is no good for a ryzen but without any clear explaination as to why it's no good, can anyone clarify this for me?

Cheers, Mitch.

In Ryzen's early days it certainly was the case that RAM modules using C16 Hynix die like the kit you currently have couldn't hit their rated speeds on Ryzen systems, so it was best to use C14 Samsung b-die modules. BIOS updates have improved memory compatibility and Zen2 has improved this situation further still so chances are your RAM will hit its rated 3200 speed

Oh brilliant that'll do then, fingers crossed! If not it's another £200 dump on ram

Check the version number on one of the ram sticks, that will tell you which chips are on the RAM, or you can check with a program like Thaiphoon Burner
