When using my crappy compro tv-200 card I get 100% signal for bbc channels yet, 45% for ITV and 35% for channel 4!

Do c4 and itv use really crappy transmitters or is it just my card?

In the latest version of dtv3, you can set your region (in my case, Lincolnshire - Belmont) which may make it lock onto stronger channels.

additionaly its now supported under xp64 and vista64 with the latest drivers. Not that this will make a difference to signal strength ;)

in my opinion, the drivers and software have come along way with the compro cards, so much so that it seems like a new card if i compare with the old drivers that came with it a year ago.

Ok well if you wanna get techincal, ITV and Channel four are both on Multiplex 2, which uses a 64 QAM bitrate, which is a higher quality than 16 QAM, (which the BBC channels on multiplex 1 are broadcast in), but being a higher quality means it is harder to get a good signal.

Possibly one of the reasons you get bad signal, read this article on wikipeadia for a full guide
