I assume you've unplugged the speakers and plugged something else into them to rule out if it's the speakers/cable that are bad?

i use them with my xbox with no problems

I'd start of with unplugging everything not needed/updating all drivers not just audio.

I guess it just started happening for no apparent reason?

It started happening just after i had serviced my cooling loop and put my gpu/cpu back in.

Out of all the things i checked, i didnt try the 2nd channel on my behringer hd400 ... moved 2 jacks and it was sorted :mad:
