Hi guys,

The built in WiFi solo thing on this asus board i have is quite frankly.....rubbish. Constantly having to disable/enable my wireless to get it to connect to the internet and had enough.

So i was looking on these forums for suggestions on pci wireless cards to find the best and i have not seen a single recommendation, instead its all talk about these powerline adapters.

Had never heard of these before. I am in a shared house and it has virgin cable with modem/netgear router downstairs on ground floor and i am a floor up using wireless. Is it poss for me to use powerline without messing up my housemates wireless?

Else whats the best wireless card going to keep latency to a minimum as i am a keen gamer.

Thanks all

I had a similar problem as you with poor Wifi signal - concrete walls with the metal bars in so mini Faraday cage :D

Got a cheapo set of powerline adapters and have to say they are brilliant - played games etc on them and not noticed any lag. Think mine were about 50 quid last year but if you are having problems with wifi thats the route to go.

They will not effect your housemates connections.
