Recently my PC has been running into this issue quite regularly, more I feel like it should.

There are times where at first the PC will want to run the disk check on start up, it would do this once and after completion and restart the PC would just blue screen with the error on Bad_system_info_config, there were times where I'd be lucky and the system would boot into my desktop (Very slowly) but a lot of the time, it would have just went into blue screen.

I'd be forced to do a reformat as trying to move back to the last known good config wouldn't work and trying to repair Windows 7 from the disc didn't work either.

I was pretty sure when I got a blue screen error one time I could hear the hard drive making a faint clicking noise before the PC restarted, however, after reformatting the PC (again) I wasn't able to make out any clicking noises.

Today, my PC on each start up would always want to run the disk clean program.

I've swapped out one of my older back up hard drives to try confirm my theory that my hard drive is defective, though I'm pretty confident that it is, but I feel I should ask here for some kind of confirmation.

I'm not entirely sure what the exact error code was, but I believe it was something like 0x00000074 or along those lines, I could be wrong.

I replaced my RAM a couple of months ago and haven't had any further issues with my RAM so I'm having doubts that it could possibly be that, I haven't been having performance or any other RAM related issues on my PC either.

Anyone have any idea?
