hi

does anybody know how to recover from a failed o/clock on this mobo. im having to remove the cmos battery for 20 mins then restart its putting me off pushing my cpu/ram

cheers

Should have a BIOS reset jumper somewhere on the board, it's usually 3 pins with a little jumper on 2 that you swap over with the power off. It's normally marked something like CLR_CMOS or some such.

This board doesn't have a clear cmos jumper. It does have a jumper which can be put in maintainance mode and this allows you to redo your settings before switching back to norml mode. The difference is that you boot the board and make your changes while the jumper is in maintainance mode :)

so what your saying is i have to open my case every time an o/clock fails. thats not very good considering you dont have to do this with my 2 year old dfi board on my sons pc

cheers

Muppet: There is another way, to save time on this jumper way.

I believe there is a thread over at Xtremesystems where they detail this method of soft clocking to prevent this problem.

Other than this, any gripes about the board ?

the board is mint it oozes quality but youd expect that for £171 , had the fsb@340 so far . dont know what im doing with ram timings/settings though. once i know what im doing ??? ill push further. should do at least 360 on air

cheers

I have the same board and set-up m8 I'm very happy with it my only gripe is the memory is so close to the graphics card there is no room for my memory cooling fan apart from that everything is layed out well and the quality is better than any board I have owned to date

not overclocked yet
